Hiya! I'm Jory (late 20s, they/them), a pine marten with an abiding affection for animals, nature, and art things—also, video- and board games! Fittingly for my species, I also boulder and drink too much coffee.

I'm a scientist by profession, but all opinions my own, etc.

not to belabour a point that I know we all agree on but one aspect I just noticed is that genAI has made casual consumers all the more derisive of art. Like I overheard a couple looking at Pokemon TCG saying the art sucked, and one dismissed it as "probably AI anyway" like just. the casual disregard

missed painting so I tossed my phone on airplane mode, listened to a couple of albums, and got ~70% done on this fox doodle, messing w/ technique and color. acryla gouache on gessobord
