As of this morning's weigh in, I'm officially now the lightest than I've been in the last 18 years.

“You know what would be great for business? Taking all the things that make us different than our competitors and, rather than use them as reasons why we’re better, just getting rid of them.” -Southwest
Southwest Airlines officially retired its decades-old practice of open seating. For the first time, passengers received assigned seats, a major shift for the carrier, which also introduced a new group boarding process and premium seat options.
Southwest Begins Assigned Seating, Scrapping a Signature Quirk
The airline said its new policy, rolled out on Tuesday, responded to passengers’ preferences, but some customers said the scramble was part of the charm.

My favourite part of the sheep and goats passage is that even the sheep ask “When did we see you hungry, naked or in prison and take care of you?”

So even the “righteous” aren’t doing the right thing to score points with the Lord. They simply do it because they want to care for their neighbour.
Matthew 25 tells us that when Jesus returns and judges between the righteous and unrighteous, he doesn't judge them based on their orthodoxy, their patriotism, or their individual definitions of morality.

He judges them based on their compassion towards vulnerable people.

Weird how quickly the right turned against the second amendment.

The week of Thanksgiving, my son figured out how to solve a 3x3 Rubik's cube. His 4x4 was solved soon after. He just brought me his 5x5 and he has four sides solved and two pieces on each other others that need to be swapped but he hasn't figured it out.

Ice day. Rather disappointing for a record setting ice storm. But it is slippy and slidey out there. Son wanted to show off the beanie cap he crocheted himself. Nala wanted to play fetch and didn't care that it was below freezing.

Went to sleep just after the yellow flag for fog. Woke up just before going green from that same yellow.

Though I think it’s funny that they’re like, “Can you believe these professional drivers were able concentrate driving pace car speeds for so long?” Like road trips aren’t a thing.

Hall: 2 minute penalty for being boarded. And then gets 10 for being mad about it.

Great work there refs.

I was going to build my LEGO Rexy while watching the race today but decided to save it as a potential power outage activity.

The more I watch and read about what's going on in Minneapolis, the more I begin to fear that we're already in a civil war and just haven't realized it yet.

Having now seen the Gold Spike on track, I do like the gold look. But it is far less obviously a dragon. Just not enough contrast.
I'll reserve my opinion until I see it on track. But first impression agrees. For a team that hasn't really missed design-wise, it was bound to happen.

Weird how my 12 year old who barely eats anything and was in a sour mood is magically in a better mood after he eats the big dinner I made for him. It’s almost like I know a little something about being hangry.

There are very few things I loathe more than spam texts. No, I don't want to sell my house. No, I don't need tree trimming. No, I don't want to take your survey. No, I don't want to vote for your candidate.

Running 25th like 30 laps down. Five hours in, 19 to go. This is what happens when they want to run the first slot and I can't start.
Presumably our iRacing Daytona 24 is a stint and a half in. For once I’m not starting the starting the car and I’m not even in the car until tomorrow morning. This feels weird.
