Older trans woman. GID dx 1990. DID dx 2003. We live through this so no-one else has to. We do trans and disability rights. Unsolicited DMs blocked.

Overwhelmed.

Not looking forwards tomorrow for a bunch of reasons.

If nothing else, me might know more by the end of it.

Reminder that the government and media will create an environment hostile to your existence, and then - when someone fed by that hate murders you - the government will use your death to propagate policies that further marginalize your existence.
It’s absurd that the Lords obsess over banning VPNs in the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill, while protecting trans kids from harassment and harm gets zero attention.

All the "got theirs" are getting antsy about the new EHRC commissioner. Never a peep about the NHS being transphobic at the first point of contact. This shows the chasm of privilege. The have's and the have nots. The in group and out group. You can't tell them. They don't have a scoobies.

There's a very simple answer: chuck out all toilet signs.
Replace them with an icon of a urinal, a cubicle or a wheelchair to indicate what facilities to expect, and they'll be no longer subject to this nonsense ruling.

Hearing that was listed against our former psychiatric social worker's account on the Social Work England website has been removed in the last hour.

Probably will show up in the list of hearings at some point in the next few days.

One of the worst websites ever.

Most troubling of all: this is all very coordinated, backed (indeed often led) by the State, and these outcomes are exactly what is sought. 👇🏻
The exclusion of trans people from public and academic spaces, removal of protections by human rights institutions, dehumanising language used by state news media, judicial tolerance of trans directed hate crime, withdrawal of medical care: all of this is very familiar to genocide scholars.

This is a situation which risks getting significantly worse under Labour's proposed policies.

Dr Beth Upton was targeted by this person in the most evil, sadistic course of conduct of targeted harassment we have yet seen.
If anyone out there knows Dr Upton, ask them to contact us asap.

Apparently tomorrow we're going to go into work on our birthday and find out if us and 25+ other people in the office still have jobs. 😬

Not a good vibe that higher ups have been giving everyone inc. senior manager the mushroom treatment for most of the year.

Tomorrow should be the last day of our former psychiatric social worker's fitness to practice.

Not sure how long after that they'll drop a verdict and summing up.

Hopefully sometime next week.

I've seen some trans women excusing the WI and GG. I won't. They're establishment. They could have put up a fight, lobbied harder, created a royal stink in the media. I've seen too many "sad face working from within hands are tied" excuses over the years to let this slide or forgive this.

Sucks when you stop doing stuff that gives your life meaning.

Guess we just need to accept that being hate crimed in front of the po-lice and them admitting they saw it and still doing fuck all is the new normal.
