ICE has been deployed to *provoke* civilians, not to protect them. They want to throw tear gas canisters and get people on the streets riled up, all to create footage for Fox News and Newsmax, et al., that will be used as a pretext for imposing martial law to lower voting rates in Democratic cities.

As I watch the emotional TV coverage of Israeli hostages returning home, I can’t help but hope the cameras also show the tears and embraces of Palestinian families welcoming back sons, fathers, grandparents held for decades in Israeli prisons, often without trial, for resisting occupation.

I do not feel like the American public has the humility or disposition to atone for the sins this administration is committing - given that we have failed at reconstruction & desegregation.
