Wish PTA had centered the story on Charlene / Willa. She's the one facing crises of identity and purpose. Non-linear flashbacks of her parents' stories would have evoked Pynchon and opened up her character. Bob runs in circles but barely affects the plot.

"Demander" just means "to ask for."
"Réunion" just means "meeting."

French-speakers sound so cool and detached, but it's the language of melodrama.
