I'm stunned by how easily these evil types get into influential positions with people who know they are acting contrary to the purpose of the reports!
A look back on our highlights from 2025:

🙌Imperial has more authors on crucial IPCC climate report than any other organisation in the world.

The IPCC's Assessment AR7 report will help shape policies to tackle climate change throughout the 2030s.

“I think” is how a system run by a king or a dictator works. Here, we have a rule of law that says no one, and that includes the government, can murder people on a whim because it “thinks” they’re up to no good.

1. Cars are the biggest source of climate pollution in the country.

2. Transportation is the biggest household expense after rent/mortgage.

2. State and local gov't could cut these numbers by about 25% in five years without any federal policy.

Somebody solve this for me, what should we do? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

#Carney weakens at least & climate policies w pipeline deal. Cuts pollution limits, allows more Tar Sands subsidies, clean electricity, methane, clean technology and carbon pricing.

Premier Dani doesn’t need pipeline to BC, just PM Carney to promise she can have one, w sketchy details. Then she could call an early election and get her United Conservative Party re-elected based on her success pushing Canada’s new Liberal PM around with her sly threats of sovereignty association.

Yes, but pls note new UK policy is not as good as it appears at first. Yes it deals with the UK as a long-term FF producer; however same North Sea plan locks in gas (increasingly LNG) based carbon capture as a way to transition potentially increasing UK FF consumption

SEE : bsky.app/profile/dran...
This is huge. On the same day Canada announces a new tarsands pipeline and a roll back of climate policy UK announces no new oil and gas licences and a fossil fuel phase out plan. Congratulations and thank you to the UK for your leadership. And Canada?! PM Mark Carney, embarrassing. #cdnpoli
Huge news from the UK today: after UN climate talks in which there was a massive fight over language on fossil fuels, the UK government today announced that it will in fact be keeping many millions of barrels of oil & gas in the ground. Deeds rather than just words for a change! 🧵

The basic policymaker mental model for climate action assumes:

- maintaining status quo is a win
- we have plenty of time
- electricity is the only source of pollution

All 3 are false, to the benefit of the wealthiest enterprise in human history, at the expense of all life on earth (including us)
Mark Carney has had to 'step forward and backwards and it all sort of cancels out' headspace on climate for quite some time.

It's the logic of carbon offsetting: if you operate a coal plant, but you also build some renewable energy, the latter cancels out the former 🫠

If the Coalition keeps up its brainless theatrics, companies and governments alike will have a clear runway to do absolutely nothing on climate.
