The next spring, he was the first Black player to be drafted by an NFL team.

Ann Lowe was the Black genius behind Jackie Kennedy’s iconic wedding gown.

Before the fashion world was ready to credit a Black woman’s talent, Lowe was already designing for America’s most powerful families. Brilliant. Bold. Innovative. Undervalued. And nearly erased from history.

I don't know, seems bad for your ability and reputation as a journalist if you spent a lot of time during the current administration of a president in declining health not reporting on that but instead hawking your book on the declining health of a previous president who'll never be president again.

I'm hoping there are no global pandemics or dangerous diseases coming our way. Many of us won't make it because y'all elected people who don't care to govern. The only people who matter to this Administration are themselves, their family and friends, and the people who can do something for them.

I've never heard of Darwinism as a form of governance, but here we are. It's going to be survival of the fittest out in these streets if we have to deal with a pandemic, or an outbreak of a dangerous disease.

Speaking of Michael Jackson... after he purchased the ATV catalog in 1985, he returned Little Richard's publishing rights back to him.

Nixon won in a landslide in 1972. He won all of the states except Massachusetts & DC. He won over 60% of the popular vote.

Today you won't find ONE person who will admit they voted for him.

That's why Jake Tapper is a damn clown.

Again, since certain people can't wrap their heads around this pretty simple concept:

If you voted for Kamala, you helped Kamala.

If you voted for Trump, you helped Trump.

If you voted 3rd Party, you helped Trump.

If you stayed home, you helped Trump.

We have a lot of fake nostalgia, for instance, for the 1950's, (when women and Black people had fewer rights, natch) but we *could* have closer to a 1950's economy if we exploded union membership, subsidized housing, and free college. (The new GI bill could stand for "general improvement.")

I don't have time to debunk all of the ways this is inaccurate, but I'll highlight a few things and then recommend some books🧵
