The most moving, fulfilling, growth-forcing thing I did as a college theatre kid was play Valentine in "Arcadia." The number of artists who were UNLOCKED by his wit and imagination can never be calculated. That's a life worth living.
When I was young, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern was my master class in playwriting - wordplay, wit, structure. I saw Arcadia three times in a row, just trying to figure out HOW he did that. He was utterly singular, RIP Tom Stoppard, there will never be another www.washingtonpost.com/obituaries/2...

His intellectually challenging and verbally dazzling works, including “Arcadia” and “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead,” were among the most acclaimed and oft-performed plays of the last half-cen...

Sadly, the @nytimes.com keeps writing deeply irresponsible, dangerous headlines like this one. It’s incredibly damaging.
Headlines like this are extremely dangerous. Because moms of young kids are the people who make the bulk of the vaccine decisions for famillies. And for a lot of them, "reading the news" looks like scrolling past headlines on social media in the spare moments of the chaos of caring for kids.

Any headline including "scientists baffled" is likely to be flapdoodle.

RFK Jr. is against vaccines that have been proven to be safe and effective, because he claims they aren’t tested enough.

At the same time, he promotes supplements and IV peptides that aren’t approved or regulated by the FDA or any other body.

Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

There is zero evidence that “poppers” cause AIDS.

There is increasing evidence that RFK Jr. causes preventable childhood diseases and deaths.
Twenty five years ago, the emergence of HIV was traced the the 1930’s in a fascinating study.

RFK Jr. thinks that “poppers” cause AIDS.

In don’t think that recreational poppers were in wide circulation in the 1930’s.

But maybe I’m wrong about that.

This has been doing the rounds, once again fake image of a real picture.

Is this kind of thing used to avoid publishing rights for some photos I wonder?

An 18yo US citizen, surrounded by eight masked, armed agents of the state, taken into custody, not read his rights, not offered a chance to contact a lawyer, proof of citizenship ignored, handcuffed so tightly he later required medical attention.

Profoundly, profoundly anti-American shit.

This is pretty impressive. And funny. The way FSD turned and ran away from the road rager was pretty adorable.

Still needs work recognizing emergency lights on police cars, but it does nothing dangerous in any of these tests.

I still find it hilarious when trolls mock “scientific expertise” on platforms built by scientific experts, using scientific consensus, and, um, science.

Sigh.
