We are lucky that our income has stayed stable and we have extra cash if necessary. We do send grocery store gift cards with my high schooler to either donate to the resource closet at school or just hand to friends we know are on SNAP. It’s rough out there.

I try to keep my basement under control, but I did just put together a new set of shelves…when stuff goes on sale, or something I use shows up on overstock sites, I snag it!

Our winter CSA is suddenly the best deal in town. It used to be you were paying slightly more than grocery store prices, for organic & local, and now (partly because of bumper crops) I have a stuffed full grocery tote bag for $36.25. Some of those cauliflowers alarmed me!
