If you talk to actual immigrants to the US, you come away with a very different view than the bog standard Bluesky anti-capitalist, anti-interventionist, etc. view.

I might be reentering my coding/John Adams (composer) groove, which is probably good.

I spent the day essentially pair coding with Gemini 3 for reasons, and wow the utility of these tools is complicated.

Bursts of unbridled productivity but also the same old shit on the details.

Definitely enhancers but they aren't replacing human skill soon.

I love that Nixon in China is such an epic opera.

When I worked as a pro sound guy I learned that mid-priced Sony headsets are the best. It's still true today.

Very happy that I discovered today that Marchini and Musgrave are back on here.

If Biden had simply been a belligerent lying old man he would have won.

Bad incentives on the right and the left.

But could have offset the losses from being honest about Donald Trump? That's the question.
Jeff Bezos’s wealth has increased an average of $70 million every day of 2026, meaning that he could have offset The Post’s losses with what he’s made since Monday.

New from 404 Media: the FBI has been unable to get into the iPhone of raided Washington Post journalist because the phone had Lockdown Mode enabled. Apple markets Lockdown Mode mostly to stop spyware like NSO. Here, a real world example of it stopping access too www.404media.co/fbi-couldnt-...

Not directly related, but Roland Orzabal giving props to my wife at their first MSG show a few years ago because she'd been enthusiastically twisting lightbulbs the whole show next to the stage.

I count on the idea that Manhattan would be on the first strike atomization target list.

When we moved into this building, it still had the old fallout shelter signs. They disappeared one day, and I'm still pissed I didn't get one.

It would be terrible if it comes to this, but protesters could just dress like this and chaos would ensue.

I don't remotely think it's a good idea, but there is a reason actual uniforms exist.
Fucking surreal that people dressed like this and carrying assault rifles are permitted to kidnap people off our streets

It's wild to be so out of touch that you think everything isn't being litigated (and mostly successfully!)

"when people cite passages out of the old testament..."
Q: Pope Leo cited Matthew 25:35 to critique Donald Trump's mass deportation agenda. How would you respond to Pope Leo in scripture?

MIKE JOHNSON: Sovereign borders are biblical and right and just. It's not because we hate the people on the outside. It's because we love the people on the inside.
