I was 22, almost 23, when I came out to my friends in 1991. I came out to my family in 1993.
I'm 57 years old now, although that doesn't seem possible most of the time.

I was 14/15 years old, making it 2000. Came out to my family and friends. Met my first boyfriend shortly after, and we dated off/on until I was 19. (I’m 39 years old now)

I've also noticed a tremendous increase in people sharing/reposting various requests for money. I'll try to help out a friend when I can, and perhaps I'm being a bit too cynical, but I wonder how many of these are truly legitimate.

I sympathize with you. I spent one Christmas season years ago working for Kmart (yes, I'm old lol), and immediately went back to the restaurant industry. Some of my best customers during the holidays were retail people.

Having spent a looonngg time in the hospitality industry, I can understand and totally agree. I used to love being asked on a Thursday what I was doing for the "holiday" weekend. I'm like, bud, I'm serving your happy ass alcohol and hoping no one pukes on the bar.
