My micro collection came in the mail! I love it. It’s two surreal short stories and an excerpt from a novel I am working on. It feels good to have something in my hands. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Oregon Food Bank. I am asking $10 for a book. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
We are gearing up to say goodbye to our first born. My sweet pup. All I know is that it will be too soon.

In other words, old man is terrified
Trump just posted an AI generated video of him flying a jet labeled "King Trump" over protests, and dumping feces on protestors. The ONLY things this man and the GOP understand is election results. FOCUS NOW on getting involved for Nov 4 - make a STATEMENT with our VICTORIES!

I should probably remind people that I had a novel called GIRL IN THE CREEK come out about a month and a half ago. It got a star in the Library Journal! And look at this awesome blurb from @keithrosson.bsky.social:

In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.

“Protest makes known resistance that would otherwise remain merely private & implicit. Large, peaceful protests also signal to powerful elites in the military, business, courts, legislature, the ruling coalition, that the current state of affairs is going badly.”

American Democracy Might Be Stronger Than Donald Trump
Yes, Donald Trump is a threat to democracy. But the country has a few attributes that make it more resilient than you might think.

A reminder that this isn't bigger news because this American politician isn't white.

Kidnapping and falsely imprisoning in America is a-okay because, to paraphrase Mr. Rock, it's alright if she ain't white.
