When government agents choose to mask themselves, use 5 year olds as bait, send people to countries where they don’t know the language, separate families and so on, the consequence of that is to be compared (rightly) to the gestapo. When they murder citizens, they prove the point.
Bovino: "When politicians, community leaders, & some journalists engage in that heated rhetoric we keep talking about, when they make the choice to vilify law enforcement calling law enforcement 'Gestapo' or using the term 'kidnapping,' that is a choice & there are actions & consequences."

Grant Fisher takes 2nd in 4:49.48. Both athletes under Cole Hockers old American record from the day before.

Also, dumb the world champ ran in a different (college albeit) meet last night when there was a pro race available today.

This is better than a beer mile.
A high school track star has been posting mile-long challenges on social media, each more absurd than the last. Few have resonated more than his “chicken mile” — which he pulled off in a swift 4 minutes and 57 seconds.

“The chicken did pretty good overall,” he said. “Didn’t poop on me.”

A fucking toy store because they are outspoken in their defense of their neighbors.
DHS employees entered our store this afternoon and served us a Notice of Inspection, demanding copies of I9 forms for each employee.

In 27 years as shopkeepers, we have never been subjected to this type of investigation.

Two days ago it was Elissa Slotkin. Last week it was Jerome Powell. Before that, Mark Kelly. Weaponizing the justice system against your opponents is an authoritarian tactic.

The only person not being investigated for the shooting of Renee Good is the federal agent who shot her.
Breaking news: The Justice Department has issued subpoenas for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey as part of an investigation alleging that they are impeding federal law enforcement officers’ abilities to do their jobs in the state.

Doesn't even have to be a dying field.

Lots of niche sports don't get proper coverage without subscription services.
Stop complaining about paywalls existing. “These paywalls are attempts to make this dying field viable. When you get personally offended by paywalls, you’re essentially saying we should work for free.” [bsky.app]
