In Germany in the 1940s, markets were held on Saturday mornings, stalls selling gold rings, jewellery, necklaces, earrings, ornaments, trinkets in gold and silver plate, portable wealth. No-one asked where the items came from. The profits helped the regime deal with those it despised.
The British government proposed sweeping changes to its asylum policy, such as extending the waiting time for permanent residency from five to 20 years and allowing officials to seize valuables from asylum seekers to help cover processing costs.
U.K. proposes new asylum policy with 20-year wait and asset seizures
The move comes amid mounting frustration over the Labour government’s inability to curb small-boat crossings of the English Channel.

"The Attorney General of the United States has set a new low for this committee," Whitehouse said.

Shouldn't doing what Pam Bondi is accusing James Comey of doing be a scandal that would make her have to resign? In her case it's is easily proven that she lied to the committee.

Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.

I wonder what could be causing this?

Largely caused by the failure of other main UK political parties to attack Brexit and Nigel Farage. It’s cowardice.
And yet its biggest cheerleader, Nigel Farage, continues the face zero accountability for this mess. In fact quite the opposite.
Brexit has caused almost twice as much damage to the UK economy than estimated by official forecasts, according to new paper from a group of experts including a senior Bank of England economist
