There were a bunch of layoffs at my company today. A complete massacre. My manager was fired and one of my direct reports. I feel like the dude that avoided all the bullets from the firing squad while everyone around is dead.

I have to say it. This year has been the most difficult year of my life and I have nothing to be grateful for, especially this very weekend. Fuck this disease. The harvest is lost and the soil is barren.

Having my wife next to me is the only thing that helps me keep going. I am grateful to her.

So, Rush is going back to doing live shows, and they are doing it with Anika Nilles in the role of the irreplaceable Neil Peart. I guess it is the best scenario. Anika is one of my favourite drummers alive and I would love to see her play live.
