Thank you for your reporting on this. When I heard about the firings, I was worried about who had been fired. Your story confirmed what I was concerned about.
I’m a property-owning boomer constantly vexed by how awful Horsey is. Why should young people read or subscribe to the Times if this is what the opinion staff thinks of them.
We have such a great #votebymail system. I’m always relieved when I see my vote’s been counted. Thank you @kingcountywa.bsky.social Elections.

Only 7 more days till we maybe get some good news & much-needed change (except let’s keep @alexis4seattle.bsky.social) 🤞🏼🗳️

We deserve better. Dehumanizing our neighbors by using photos of them on their worst days without their consent is unacceptable. We have a lot of work to do to address homelessness, but this only moves us further from that goal by othering real people in an attempt to score cheap political points.
Such a lovely event, with inspiring award winners and a room full of generous community members!
30 years ago this week! It was always such fun to see the High Fiven’ White Guys running around 1990s Seattle. 😂

This heartfelt and meaningful statement by Portland resident and author Cristina Breshears on another social media platform bears reposting here. I don't think the intent is to idealize Portland but to remind all of us what is important and why. (Posted here with permission.)

Should the New York Times be sold to Pennysaver and its editors sent to work in Amazon warehouses? It depends on who you ask.

Imagine being mad you didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize while you’re busy stirring up Civil War in your own country.
So did I, this morning! Probably the fourth time. Such a gem.
Thanks for the heads up, AI! We’ll all be watching at 1 a.m. Seattle time. 🙄 #mariners #ALDS #MLB

hey @nytimes.com: there is no counterpoint here. There are no credible legal experts who would EVER say that the US military has any right or authority to blow civilian craft out of the Caribbean and kill their crews from afar without any provocation. There is no other side to this question.
Thankful you both are ok. But that’s terrible!

ME ON A TRAIN: Oh no, I accidentally clicked a video with sound! Oh god, people heard a second of loud sound from my phone. I have torn the social contract.

EVERYBODY ELSE ON TRAIN: Shit yeah, train time, time to watch the loudest TikToks

The greatest minds of the right wing intellectual dark web think tank cannot -- or won't -- distinguish between "comic gets yelled at in comedy club for telling shitty joke about trans people" and "federal government forces corporation to pull comedian off the air for mocking President"
I will not link to it. I just want to reiterate that thousands of books have been banned by the right. And American Dirt sold millions of copies.
Historic. Everyone needs to be able to watch this! Even If they live in a “blackout city” like we do in Seattle, where the craven Sinclair is refusing to air it. #JimmyKimmel youtube.com/watch?v=c1tj...
