I must watch it. @andrewmale.bsky.social was praising it a while back.

Depth of field, perhaps? And the absence of big, sweeping shots. However, Edge of Darkness was shot with a very cinematic eye, but STILL FEELS LIKE TELLY.

Also, many filmed series look like television rather than film. Minder looks and feels like a television programme. Hard to explain, really, but I suspect you know what I mean.

If you don't want people calling you a cunt and telling you to fuck off, have you considered not being a cunt, you cunt? Now fuck off.

if you don't want people asking about the things you POST TO THE PUBLIC ON SOCIAL MEDIA then stop fucking posting to social media, or maybe restrict replies or even, and i get that this is difficult, provide an ounce of context.

I know how personal bows can be, and how bloody expensive.

My friend Sascha is a professional musician and he's lost a viola bow on the way to Heathrow. Please signal boost to help him get it back.
Lost viola bow on the way from Honor Oak Station to Heathrow Terminal 2. The bow slid from its bow case somewhere along the way, possibly on the train. TFL contacted already.
It weighs 68.2 grams and has got a stamped DODD next to the frog. If any info on this, please pm me.

Do you follow Justin? I do, and I know what he was on about.

I think he was recording this when Live Aid happened, and it's the same band. I love it (and the film).

What wood is the body? Obeche?

The bassist in one of my big bands plays a fretless Wal. He plays sitting down.

Stick with this superb thread. It might seem tenuous, but it's really not.

A short thread about procurement

I own a lot of different bass guitars. They all sound different and play differently so I make a choice depending what music you're performing. But if you can only afford one or two, it makes sense to get the most versatile and best value you can get for the money

A video released by Andrew Snowden MP has sparked bemusement after he accused Labour of misunderstanding fighter aircraft while misidentifying one himself in the same video.

I'd say if they notice and ask, tell them politely, but only then.

Yes, you could get a midi system. Or something like this. Stick with a big name - Sharp, Pioneer, etc - and you'll be grand. Much better than the cheaper record players made now.
Sharp music centre

No. That station only employs reporters with three arms.

Get a secondhand 70s or 80s 'music centre'. A Japanese name brand. They're easy to find for not much money.

The Producers is on BBC2. I'm powerless to resist, aren't I?

Bacon's coming across well, but that is not a jacket for television.
