I wonder why Disney puts so much work into converting all of their animated films into live-action remakes, and then I remember how many people I've met in life who just outright refuse to watch something animated. It allows them to tap into their wallets, plus the people who were already fans.

When a legacy video game series is adapted into a different medium (like a comic or movie), I like when it tells an original story but fills it with easter eggs/call-backs to its varied history. When it tries to be "its own thing" too hard, it loses the magic. Like Archie Mega Man vs. Fully Charged.
