It's amazing how so many billionaires - who have WAY more money than they could possibly need in 500 lifetimes - REALLY want to avoid paying small slivers of tax money to benefit a common good like social safety services for less fortunate countrymen within the society that made them billionaires.

Let's just do this impeachment thing right now.

Nobody benefits from waiting around.

When your popularity is lower than low, the economy is crashing and the Epstein files are bearing down on you like a blue wave, all that's left is bluster, blunder and distraction. But none of that will save him from his inevitable date with impeachment.

Lincoln was re-elected on a party platform saying "That foreign immigration, which in the past has added so much to the wealth, development of resources and increase of power to this nation, the asylum of the oppressed of all nations, should be fostered and encouraged by a liberal and just policy."
They're not hiding it, folks—straight up neo-Nazi advertising, from the font to the language to the 11 stars for the Confederacy. Then you have the DHS openly using white nationalist language of "remigrate", which means ethnic cleansing.

This is who MAGA is now.

Every socialist idea begins with the same simple truth: humans flourish when we care for each other. Everything else (the theory, the policies, the struggle) is just logistics.

I hope not because I want my rep, Kristen McDonald Rivet, to beat Casten to it. Alternatively they’re welcome to do it together with 216 of their best House friends.
@seancasten.bsky.social

So you'll start and lead impeachment proceedings? Followed by removal and criminal prosecution ?
This is murder. Hegseth thinks he will get away with it because the people around him are more committed to aiding and abetting his crimes than upholding the rule of law. I wouldn't take that bet if I were him, or the people around him. www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

"Back to normal" isn't possible. We have to create a new, better normal.
We may be able to rebuild a constitutional order in the future. But that is not guaranteed.

Elliott's most glaring error is not realizing that every time Orange Pig breaks the law in broad daylight and Congressional leaders don't demand immediate impeachment it IS EXONERATION.

rejecting impeachment = endorsing his crime wave
This is you telling me that Jeffries never should have impeached him at all, because it only made the fascist stronger.

It's really hard to take you seriously when you don't even agree with yourself.

A lot of disinformation is circulating about what Senators/Representatives Slotkin, Kelly, Crow, Deluzio, Goodlander, and Houlahan actually said. Here is the transcript. It contains no accusation that the President issued unlawful orders, no call to disobey lawful orders, and no advocacy of mutiny.

There is no measured way to say what I am about to say.

If the Supreme Court agrees with the Trump administration to end birthright citizenship, we must end this current Supreme Court.

I do not say this lightly.

Trump wrongly indicted me. I’ll rightly impeach him.

Impeachment isn’t just an option, it’s a necessity. I know firsthand the lengths Trump is willing to go in order to silence dissent — but is it working?

It's the bare minimum required by the Constitution.

Be more than thankful, be grateful.

I used to live in that space. The space where I could stop and be grateful. Not for possessions, but for my life, my wife, my kids, my family, my dear friends.

“Life is good.”

That was my silent mantra. And it was real. I carried it with me.

Well worth your time.
Today on Volts: the subset of cleantech known as "electrotech" -- solar, batteries, heat pumps, etc. -- is marching toward inevitable victory, not because it's low-emissions (though it is), but because it's more efficient & cheaper. I discuss the good news with @kingsmillbond.bsky.social.
