As someone who taught business English to articulate intelligent English business people I was disappointed, no shocked, with their lack of understanding of the rules of grammar or the meaning of words. And let’s face it A level English is about studying literature not mastering our own language.

Well on my way to a second kilometre swimming for Great Ormond Street Hospital’s very sick kids. My granddaughter was one of them - thankfully recovered from the removal of a brain tumour at GOSH when she was 11 years old.
