Because of course it was an out of context headline. Just ridiculous that govt yet again did not control the narrative effectively. They've got a Comms room. Use it!!
All of this is being put out to placate the right wing press...

In the meantime, it's causing fear & confusion. As I understand it:

● this only applies to some people on skilled visas
● it's not "A level English" it's something called SELT
● much the same requirement exists elsewhere in EU
It's almost like the arm chair economists didn't actually have the knowledge or facts to support their claims

This is so depressing.

48% of Ireland's waterbodies are so polluted, contaminated with chemicals, choked with algae, deprived of oxygen, lacking in species variety or physically altered and damaged that they fail to meet minimally acceptable standards.

And it's getting worse.

Today's the 959th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. As viewers of King and Conqueror will know, William was able to surprise Harold by crossing the Channel in his hovercraft, and the English king was already exhausted, having recently seen off a Martian invasion.

This is not just funny, it's smart. We need more of this mockery that shows these thugs that we see their despicable fascism and give them the respect that they deserve.

I do wonder whether the Spectator (and others) realise they’re helping the Greens, not hindering them.
The Spectator (owned by GBNews owner Paul Marshall - estimated wealth of £800 million) doesn’t like taxing wealth fairly.

I wonder how they got to this editorial decision?

Let’s tax wealth fairly, fund front line services & make hope normal again.

Seems @Nigel_Farage is trying damage limitation on the Reform Russian Bribes scandal.

He’s known Nathan Gill for 20 years, and claims he knew nothing.

No one believes you, Nigel.

Keep the story moving. Questions must be answered.
