The Leafs have no regulation wins in their last 10 games. And only six all season in 24 games.

They're 2-6-2 in this stretch. Only Nashville has been worse.

Goddamn does this movie fall apart hard and fast. The original Gladiator was one of his best, but this one seems like it bought him a third vacation house and he started using it halfway through shooting.

At least Denzel had fun.
I'm halfway through "Gladiator 2" and it is the most un-Ridley-Scott film he's ever made. Something about the shot selection and transition just seems so utterly bog standard, and the details and backgrounders are just as uninspired as the cinematography.

I expected way better.

Just saying if south park wasn't so committed to this trump-centric storyline, we could have gotten a pretty good Jimmy episode about the Riyadh comedy festival.

If you have a suboptimal birthday, you can just change it and nobody will know. My birthday is on Christmas Eve and I hate that, so I tell everyone it's July 22nd and celebrate in summer. It's not like anyone's going to ask for your birth certificate.

It is unfathomable that the USG lawyers would sign off on a no-survivors boat strike (no get of jail free card).

There's clear precedent dating back to World War II trial of Germans for that very act, which lawyers know well.

just a reminder that the current best explanation for why this was necessarily or desirable is that the President wanted to see some video of it

After several weeks of slowly feeling better, I made plans for the end of this week to do a few physical chores around the house that are *mumblemumble* overdue.

So really it's my fault for summoning this cold into my respiratory system. I should know better than to have any ambition anymore.

I think the biggest problem with Star Trek: Voyager happens in the pilot where they simply gloss over how Janeway convinced the Maquis to join her crew. That should have been an entire episode--the absence of such a conversation lingers over the rest of the series, imho.

With the latest news out of the #Oilers, it looks like RNH will be coming back on Saturday, but the Oil will be without early season sensation Jack Roslevic for weeks, and Kapanen for another few weeks. Pretty soon we're at game 40 without seeing a full healthy team. That said...

The blatant statement summarized as "If Biden disagrees with me I'll have him arrested" is today's "look how far you've fallen".

Also the orange moron has no idea what perjury is.
It should go without saying, but the president has no authority to do this, and anyone reporting the story needs to say as such.

To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.

"Two survivors were clinging to the smoldering wreck. The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack ... ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions."
