Living with dignity shouldn’t be this hard, and it doesn’t have to be.
Poverty is not inevitable. On this day, we’re reminded that eradicating poverty means addressing its root causes, changing inequitable systems and policies, and ensuring that everyone in Canada can live free from deprivation and discrimination.
Yet, 45% of people in Canada are struggling to make ends meet. Rising costs continue to push people into difficult situations – and for those already facing intersectional disadvantage, these basic needs are becoming further out of reach.
Everyone has the right to an adequate standard of living: access to safe housing, nutritious food, healthcare, and the resources needed to live with dignity.
On International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, Canada’s cost-of-living crisis is more than an economic challenge — it’s a human rights issue.
Workplace harassment harms safety, respect, and mental health. This Workplace Bullying Awareness Week, let’s commit to ending it. Check out our Guide on Preventing and addressing workplace harassment and violence: www.chrc-ccdp.gc.ca/resources/pu...
On #WorldInclusionDay, we reaffirm that inclusion is at the heart of #HumanRights. Together, let's build a strong Canada where everyone feels valued, included and able to participate fully.

Indigenous women face murder rates 10x times higher than the national average. We all have a role to play in speaking out against this injustice. Together, we can, and must, do better.

Today, on the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people, we honour and remember every life lost to systemic racism and gender-based violence.
We join people across Canada to reflect, to learn from the truths shared by all Indigenous peoples, and to take meaningful action toward reconciliation in our own lives, workplaces, and communities. #NDTR
As we commemorate the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we reflect on the truths that survivors have shared, and consider how each of us can contribute to reconciliation – not only today, but every day.

Tomorrow marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We honour the children who never came home, the courage of survivors, and the leadership of Indigenous communities. True #reconciliation calls for action – today and every day. #NDTR

It’s International Sign Languages Day!

Sign languages are full and recognized languages. Accessibility means ensuring Deaf people can connect, work, and participate without barriers.

💬 How does your workplace make communication more accessible?

This week is Gender Equality Week in Canada. We have made progress in closing gender gaps, but barriers remain.

Let’s keep advocating for a society where everyone can thrive.
The Commission helps people facing discrimination or harassment. Commissioners review complaints under the CHRA and make decisions that can create positive change. Hear from some of them on what this human rights work means to them: sbee.link/47pek83wry

We recognize the work of 2SLGBTQQIA+ communities, especially those who are Black, Indigenous, racialized, trans, and non-binary—who have long led the fight for equity and justice.

Pride may end, but the pursuit of equality never does. ✨

#Pride2025
At its core, Pride is about human rights. The right to express who you are. The right to be protected under the law. The right to thrive, not just survive.
As #Pride season comes to a close, our commitment to 2SLGBTQQIA+ rights continues.

Pride is more than a celebration. It's a reminder that everyone deserves to live, learn, and work in safety, with dignity, and free from discrimination or harassment.
🌟 #Pride isn’t just about celebration, it’s about telling your stories on your own terms.

Her work makes space for Black 2SLGBTQQIA+ folks living with HIV, especially those who are often silenced or erased.
As a longtime advocate, Jade reminds us:
“We’re more than our diagnoses. We’re artists, creators, and leaders.”
✨ Jade uses the stage as a site of advocacy, blending performance, education, and healing. Her viral rendition of “Undetectable” (to the tune of Nat King Cole’s “Unforgettable”) challenges HIV stigma and celebrates U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable).
