In 2024, women earned 87¢ per $1 men earned, less for Black, Indigenous, racialized women, and women with disabilities. The #PayEquityAct helps federally regulated employers work toward equal pay for work of equal value.
Concerns about pay show why pay equity matters:
🔸 Employers must compare between male- and female-dominated jobs and adjust pay as needed.
