Fired. Investigated. Silenced. Reuters documented at least 470 targets of retribution under Donald Trump — from federal workers and prosecutors to universities and media outlets. It’s the most comprehensive accounting yet of his campaign of payback.

Before you jump to conclusions that Witkoff is just a stooge getting worked over by the Russians, know he has been working for them (with Trump) for more than a decade…in 2010 he helped a (later indicted) Russian mobster get real estate development approved (NYC).

Sending prayers and strength to the friends, families and fellow guardsmen of the two West Virginians who were shot in DC. These individuals signed up to serve because they cared about their community and their country, and to have this happen the day before Thanksgiving is heartbreaking.

Happy almost Thanksgiving from NYC. A time when we should especially be thankful for all our military, first responders and law enforcement out there holding the line. The disgusting shooting in DC today is a reminder of how many are out there doing their jobs—tonight & throughout the holidays.

I have, like a real man, recaulked and resealed my shower.
I will never, ever do this again, and the next time I will pay a plumber or handyman, even if it has to be in gold bullion, to do it.

The thing is, we can disagree about all kinds of policies, and still fundamentally agree on some basic principles of government. I think many of us have rediscovered that, which is one good thing that comes out of all this.
What's wild is that I'm not only just as solidly progressive and left leaning as ever, I'm in fact more left leaning and progressive as I've ever been *at the same time as* I haven't disagreed with anything that David Frum and Tom Nichols have said or written in the last decade. Thanks, Atlantic.

Pete Hegseth is right: Mark Kelly shouldn't be a senator.

He should take Hegseth's job and be SECDEF.

I'll be on MSNOW at 4pm to talk more about it.

"The airlines" won't let you? The airlines do not control the fact that the American people refuse to invest in trains. I take Amtrak as much as I can if I'm not in a hurry. We should have high-speed trains. But people would rather bitch at the airport than invest in a better future.
We could solve a minority of our air travel problems with Europe style trains. But the airlines will not let us.
