Another fun wrinkle from that period (that might still exist): I was good at math and loved it and then my geometry teacher told me that I'd probably struggle because female brains were bad at spatial thinking. I kept loving math & being good at it but assumed that would end so I ended it first.

Update: took my younger kid to the same Walgreens for her Covid shot and they didn’t ask any questions at all.
Husband, teen, and I got our Covid shots at Walgreen’s today. The pharmacist said we needed a medical reason since were were under 65. She didn’t believe me that depression/anxiety were valid reasons until I made her look them up on the CDC website.

We’ve been a one-car family for four years, but finally had to buy a second. It is bewildering how car companies just keep making driving a worse experience. It’s like a breathless six-year-old made this car.

Verified with a random toddler that my dress is blue and my shoes are yellow. Knowing our colors was a real self esteem boost for both of us.
