Howdy. Just joined. I'm a tabletop RPG game designer, proud parent of a disabled kid, IT worker in the healthcare field, living in and in love with the US Pacific Northwest. Like computer RPGs, scifi, fantasy, and the occasional anime. Deeply interested in spirituality and western mysticism. He/him.
Friend of mine from college just started posting to Bandlab and DAMN. Holy fuck. Give a listen if you're into industrial.

Real Romulan ale would probably be nice and smooth after 12 years, but licensed energy drinks, I'm not as sure ...

Happy Halloween!

This is the "Portland burning down" that you keep hearing about.

I live around an hour south of Portland. I chat every day with friends living in Portland. Nothing is burning down. For reals.

I doubt any of my mutes think it is, but still.

A bad day for Dracula, a good day for us readers!

And, I always say the 10-cent bin (I guess it's all $1 bins now ... ) is the best source for supers adventure ideas!
The summation of why I love superhero comics in one cover…

This hits home hard. For reasons I can't make myself go into at this time. But you can probably guess.
Evil. More of it every day.

Still bummed that my friend drank himself to death.

But seeing this pic he did a few years ago, it's like a message.

Alright, Elijah. I get it. Fuck you, too *(fondly)*.

Life will go on.

Obituary in The Comic Journal for my friend Elijah Brubaker.
An Eisner-nominated comic book writer and artist, I was glad to be able to work with him on one of my game projects, but more, just to have known him. He never appreciated how great he was.

Well, isn't this unnecessary and ghoulish. WHEEE
With great power comes no responsibility.
For decades, Stan Lee was the king of comic conventions. Now, nearly seven years after his death at the age of 95, he will once again be a presence at L.A. Comic Con, this time as a hologram that will use AI to have conversations with fans.

I love the so-called "Frankenstein fleet" ships from DS9. The ultimate "ugly cute" ships.
The bizarre "Elkins-class" Intrepid/Miranda-class kitbash model from #StarTrek DS9, built by and named for VFX supervisor Judy Elkins.

Components include saucer (Voyager), pylons (runabout), nacelles (Reliant), body (F-14 fighter jet)

My autistic son gets so excited about dinner sometimes that he sits and flaps his arms and hoots and laughs and I have to remind him to eat. It's adorable. And what cook doesn't appreciate this reception?

My gaming group gets together online on the reg for a booze + bad movie night. 1x/yr we get to hang together in person, and do the same. Best times.

First we watched the recent Amazon production of _War of the Worlds_, w/ Ice Cube. Review: Almost not even enjoyably bad. Wretched. Glad I had backup.
