Well, that took a long time, but the gang is finally finished!
Now I can get some use out of the 1st Somerset Strikers sourcebook.

No Guts, No Galaxy!

Exactly!
It's the system I've always wanted fantasy systems to be.
Agreed. A lot of my "Actions" on my Environments are now things like "the PC's witness a thing."
(And then during play I'll toss in a Fear if I want it to interact more directly with the PC)
Group roll isn't really you inviting people to help you. That's the Help action (spend a Hope, give someone Advantage.)
Group roll is when you all HAVE to do something as a group. Sneak past guards, climb a cliff, etc.
Fantastic!
I really need something to organize my notes easier.
Thanks!
I've looked at Obsidian several times but haven't used it. I wonder if it works on iPad.
Role & quirks are good adds.
I generally write down the name of an actor or character from a movie or TV show so I can instantly fall into character. "Quirks" would be a great extra addition.
That's pretty much exactly what I do.
I add a motivation for each NPC so I can fall back on that for decisions when the story goes in unexpected directions.
We did the preliminaries the last time we got to play, and it went pretty well.
I did the part where they all make one roll for an advantage or information, and they all had fun thinking of their part and rolling for it. It was fun giving out the information too.
Looking forward to the token use.
I think it's just me needing to change my interpretation a bit.
So if it's a Countdown of 3 to cross a river, and they roll to find a canoe, and then roll to paddle across, my instinct is success. But they need 1 more, so I just have to say they are halfway, or need a safe place to land.

I'll let you know. We can't play this week, but should be running it next week.
I'm always a little concerned with oddities in Skill Challenge situations (which Countdowns are in a way.)
I'm mostly concerned with what happens if they end up finding too fast, or I don't have enough checks.

Which system completely changed your perspective on what tabletop RPGs could be?
#ttrpg #dnd #rpg #meme
Top Secret by TSR, quickly followed by Victory Games James Bond.

Then Vampire the Masquerade 1e.

TSR Marvel superheroes falls in there somewhere too.

#ttrpg
The heist one is from the Void, and the Masquerade is one I made.

I really love Environments.
We're on a couple week break, but when we go back I'll be running a combo masquerade / heist Environment. Got a bunch of NPC's, and some Countdowns, and of course the 2 event Environments, and then we'll all just see what happens!
Can't wait.
I just realized that Daggerheart encourages me to prep in the way that I've always tried / preferred to prep ttrpg sessions.
NPC's, Encounters/Environments, general notes on the overall plot.
I hate overwriting and coming up with every detail (that ultimately won't be used most of the time anyway)
We're in a COVID pause right now. Looking forward to starting up again in a couple weeks.
It would be kind of cool for them to then be able to take the minis with them.
It's my favorite new fantasy RPG since 4e D&D.
There's a free SRD if you want to give it a look before buying.
