Anyone out here play Flashpoint Campaigns: Cold War?
I'm thinking about buying it, and noticed it has Play by Email!
I used to play Combat Mission PbEM games all the time.

Battletech Aces & Alpha Strike in general have really re-invigorated my love for the game.
I wasn't getting time to play Classic, but Aces let's me play campaigns solo and Alpha Strike let's me use more models in shorter play sessions.
I feel like I can finally engage with the hobby the way I want.

Finished my Davion force pack today. Now I can work on the Aces Jade Falcon force.

The Classic #Battletech hex maps are beautiful, but as I'm learning #AlphaStrike I can see why people love the 3D terrain.
Just using the cardboard terrain from the box and some D&D battle mats make the table look awesome.
Fun stuff!

Finally got to play my #Battletech mercenary campaign yesterday.
Used #AlphaStrike for the first time as I'm learning the rules for an Aces campaign.
Constant bad dice rolls and two devastating TAC's pretty much brought an end to the Black Sun company, but I still really enjoyed Alpha Strike.

The players encountered Atali, the Frost Giant's Daughter, in my Hyborian Age #Daggerheart campaign yesterday, and it was great. Made so much better by the Daggerheart game mechanics.
Began as a social encounter, moved into a fight, and then to a desperate race for survival, all seamlessly.

Does anyone know if Catalyst updated the Hinterlands PDF with the errata?
Also, anyone know if there is a way to add Humble Bundle purchases to your Drive Thru RPG account?

Fellow #Battletech Aces owners, which model are these extra bits for?

Also, is it easy to convert Edge abilities for the pilot abilities that are in the #AlphaStrike CE, but not included on an Edge card in Aces?

Finally, #Battletech Aces is in my hands!
Probably won't be able to get a game in as soon as I'd hoped, because there is... a lot.
So totally worth the price. High quality all around with so much stuff in the box. Can't wait to start a campaign!

My copy of #Battletech Aces has shipped!
I was going to try to run it with Classic, but I think I'll instead take the opportunity to use it to learn #AlphaStrike
I've had the Commander's Edition for months but never played it.

Anyone planning on using it with Classic instead?

I like the James Bond RPG by Victory Games so much that I just picked up an extra copy of the two main books.

Can't wait!

Star Trek: Year Five is a great bridge from the Original Series to the movie era.
Highly recommended!

After a couple weeks off for COVID, the #Daggerheart game is all set up for tomorrow.
A heist during a high society masquerade party.

Well, that took a long time, but the gang is finally finished!
Now I can get some use out of the 1st Somerset Strikers sourcebook.

Top Secret by TSR, quickly followed by Victory Games James Bond.

Then Vampire the Masquerade 1e.

TSR Marvel superheroes falls in there somewhere too.

The first one I ever saw and wanted to play, but didn't, was my dad's copy of Starship Troopers. 1970-something...

My first tabletop wargame was probably either Federation & Empire, original Warhammer, Steve Jackson's OGRE, or original Battletech.

Other possibilities are Star Fleet Battles and Advanced Squad Leader.

I'd love to say Pong from back in the 70's, because it's true. However, I'd never expect newcomers to try it nowadays.

Instead I'll go with Roadwar 2000 and Crush, Crumble, & Chomp from the Commodore 64 days. Played both of them endlessly. I'd still play them today.

I own almost all the adventures for the James Bond TTRPG. They come with cool envelopes filled with props and briefing material.
They also change up the plots enough that people who are familiar with the films are still surprised.
The game is definitely made for fewer players, 1-3 really max.

The Gamemaster Pack & especially For Your Information are great supplements for taking the James Bond Basic game to advanced.
For Your Information was full of great advice and a few extra rules, as well as reflections on the game system.
The cardboard minis in my GM Pack are still unpunched!

The Q Manual and Thrilling Cities supplement were both great additions to the James Bond ttrpg.
Loads of help for GMs with items and locations to drop into their adventures.
I found it cool that Thrilling Cities was named after the travelogue by Ian Fleming.
