There are basically only two positions in the debate about AI.
1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.

Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.

The term "dog and pony show" is used to designate a bad, haphazard show presented by a flim-flam operation, but I'm honestly very into any show which includes either a dog OR a pony, provided that they seem healthy and well-maintained. I honestly *wish* more modern flim-flam involved a dog or pony.

I've said it before, but if you told me that you had some funky psychedelic country-rock from the 70's, sort of like the Flying Burrito Brothers but also peppered with weird, cheesy synthesizers, I'd be drooling. But if you then gave me the Steve Miller Band, I'd be so disappointed.

I feel like they should have figured out some other things the 'jaws of life' could do before they started selling them. "People in need of a hydraulic rescue tool" is a narrow market, and maybe they could be advertising them to delicatessens or hairdressers or preschools, too.
