Always worth mentioning that the N1 doesn't test translation skills, it tests whether you can work in an office.
I failed the 1kyu the first time purely because of the sheer quantity of grammar and vocab you'll only ever see in a work email. Got some guides and a manga called Kurosagi and passed.
