English is way harsher on repetition than Japanese, so part of a light novel translator's job is tweaking the wording so it says the same shit, but without sounding redundant.
I thought I'd do a rundown of a few tricks that help with this.

If you've read Dahlia in Bloom you probably know enough about Jonas' life to write the outline of this book, but somehow that never prevents it feeling like a proper novel. Despite the time frame it covers. And even if you know the basic beats there's a lot you didn't know.
