According to readily available data, cattle ranchers loaded overwhelmingly for Trump. I wonder after seeing this post from Trump if a lot of them are beginning to think, "huh... This is how Wormtongue must have felt after serving and groveling for Saruman."

Maybe not and the irony is lost on them.

I was there in September with my brother who is a veteran of the 502nd of the 101st. We saw Col Robert Cole's memorial near-ish to there. We did D-Day sites, Carentan and Bastogne as well.

Huh. I like Drama. Squire's bassing is as good as it gets and I like the Horn/Squire harmonies. I rate Drama as one of my favorite Yes albums.

Having said that, I don't go see the current Yes live but I'll see Jon Anderson (especially with Bank Geek) every chance I get!

Just remember: Republicans can pass a budget any time they want to. They just vote to change Senate rules and do away with the filibuster.

Short of that, Republicans need Democratic votes but won't negotiate with them... 🤷‍♂️

Pretty clear who wants the government closed.

I-70 between Indianapolis and the Ohio border is a national embarrassment.

They've broken ground on expanding it to three lanes but I think they've just given up trying to maintain all the other lanes... I'm just glad I don't have a bad back. 😕

I saw the clip earlier today... My first inclination is to feel sorry for him. But then I remembered he could have stopped all of this nonsense during either impeachment. He chose party over country. That and his dotage will overshadow his legacy... And I hope that eats at him in the dark of night.

It’s weird how the “young” Republicans are actually full-grown men and JD Vance treats them as children who shouldn’t face consequences for their racism, misogyny, or xenophobia.

But pregnant 12-year-old little girls are treated as adults and must literally bear the consequences of rape and incest.

This could not be more detached from reality. The No Kings rally I attended earlier this year had families, young people, old hippies, people of every color and size and me.

I feel sorry for Republicans who feel like they have to demonize fellow Americans who peacefully disagree with them.

Broken aspect of US politics... That district is overwhelmingly R, but there were 11 total candidates in the GOP primary where only 103,000 people voted. He won 25.5% of that vote. So... 75% of Rs who voted in the primary wanted some other R & yet, he's the rep for the district.

That's f'ed up.

I have no idea what it's going to take for Americans to wake up to some realities: the way we do healthcare/insurance is, frankly, stupid and inefficient. There are much better ways to do this, but that would spook too many folks - socialism!! 👻
