Correct most Americans are easily manipulated

American law, it seems to me, exists to create a condition of constant titillation for people whose material needs are never unmet, but whose appetites have been teased into a state of ungovernable sadism by sloganeering & advertising that promises a return to a world that never existed & never will
Our survival is their failure

beating the drum for war with Venezuela. The US is just as, if not more propagandized than any of the countries they look down upon.

one thing thats kinda crazy to get your head around is not that the musk and thiel masters of the universe are ungrateful for the vast public infrastructure, public funding of research, and robust systems of laws and rules that made their wealth possible. it's that theyre too dumb to understand it

This person is one hundred percent correct and it’s scary af. We will never “media literacy” our way out of this as a society. We are about to reap the whirlwind when it comes to misinformation, disinformation, and informational warfare.
I love how it used to work 100x better. Not profitable enough
Trump will use violence to stay in power vs no he wont
Core tenet of conservatism is reveling in ignorance
Joe Ryan is kinda similar I think
I guess it has been memory holed but at the time the ACA was being legislated there was a huge amount of effort and promise to "bend the cost curve" of healthcare. In that regard the law has been an utter failure. Healthcare costs have massively increased year after year completely unabated.
This is absolute nonsense. You should be ashamed of how little you know about what you are covering. It's truly pathetic how lazy you are.
The ACA was a massive improvement from what came before it that saves lives. It also occurred when Democrats had a supermajority, THAT THEY ARE UNLIKELY TO EVER HAVE AGAIN, where they could have passed a law that did not leave Americans still wanting for affordable healthcare.
If you bash the ACA from the left because it failed to achieve truly universal health care, please read this thread. The law isn't perfect. (None are.) It still did a huge amount of good and saved many, many lives.
Are we doing "The ACA Sucks" Discourse again?

I'm going to guess most people hating on it from the left have never received a hospital bill the size of book; I put the apple there for scale.

That's the $1.3 million bill my kid incurred in his first ~94 days. Why does that make me respect the ACA?
This guy is one of the dumbest people alive
Can't believe he deleted this
They are controlled by capital and you should not expect anything different going forward
Not provocative, very stupid.
The brazenness is new but the President unilaterally killing whomever he wants is not

Wikipedia is worth $10/month because if it dies so does reliable knowledge. Cough up if you can -- it's cheaper, more interesting and morally superior to Netflix.
wikipedia's data shows that AI is siphoning traffic away from the site, which is a danger to its sustainability. ironically Wikipedia is more important than ever to users who want reliable information instead of slop, and to AI companies that need it for training data www.404media.co/wikipedia-sa...
