This is why AI "placeholder" assets are so sus. This shit is lazy and disgusting. Why should we pay full price for games who aren't willing to pay real people to make real art? Especially when it's AAA companies rolling in money to pay humans with.
The Anno AI thing gives a glimpse of how they use AI - it's interesting that they think that the final image, which is fundamentally the same as the AI generated figure, is totally fine now it's had a bit of a paintover.
