I care. I think it's pat time, the US joined the rest of the civilized world with Universal Health Care. For profit health care makes no sense and is actually a crime against Humanity.

AOC: "It is unconscionable that what we are debating right now is legislation that will give 8 senators over $1 million a piece & we're robbing people of their food assistance & healthcare to pay for it. How can we vote to enrich ourselves by stealing from the American people?"

They’ve laid off so many people that the government is now getting its economic data from DoorDash.

Man, the FAA has the opportunity to (accidentally) cause some hilarious accidents right now.
There’s real irony in this: lawmakers can’t get back to DC to vote to reopen the government because flights are canceled, thanks to the same shutdown they caused.

Karoline Leavitt does almost daily press briefings. There should be equal and opposite briefings from Democrat spokespeople to counter her lies. God knows there would be plenty of material to counter.

As a kid I absolutely hated reading. All the school curriculum was torture. Then my dad gave me Pratchett’s The Colour of Magic and told me give it a try. It was an absolute revelation. Holy shit I could actually enjoy reading?? I could love it?? Books could be FUN?? Completely changed my life.
performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"

Fair's fair.
Since Steven Miller ignores the constitution, we should too. When we get the power back, he should be put in the public stocks for beatings and pelting with rotten fruit. Prove us wrong.
