I meant to post about this news from Italy - very glad violence againat women, which has long been normalized, is now punishable with a life sentence. Far too many women die at the hands of their male partners or family members. Gender-based violence is an hourly occurance and needs to stop.

i think tomorrow’s project is to try to install OpenIndiana (Solaris OS) on my trusty old Lenovo X270, which has reached the end of its useful life as a Win10 PC. It’ll be nice to have a Unix laptop with VGA, USB-A, etc
