Did you know alligator snapping turtles were almost eaten to extinction? It was so commonplace to eat them that even Campbells used to make soup with them! They're an example of why the Endangered Species Act is SO important, without it we may not have had these turtles alongside us today!

If you're a vet who performs surgeries to alter wild animals so that they're "safe as pets" you should lose your licence full stop. Removal of venom glands, defanging, declawing, scent gland removals ect ect should NEVER be done. Ofc unless an animal has an infection or medical condition-
