The kid and I read a series about a genie and her best friend, and there has been a nice set of rules around the magical systems in the world. She was SO annoyed that the drama in book 4 was easily resolved if they just used the genie wish system, but instead the resolution was convoluted new magic.

In my efforts to make a playlist for doing stuff I have reevaluated a lot or music from the 90s and I still hate Radiohead but my main takeaway is that Kurt Cobain and Nirvana were much better than I gave them credit for at the time.

"You shouldn't make art for the money" buddy I'll take it one step further and say we shouldn't have to labor for capital at all but in the meantime pay an artist

Feels like the US has spent the last 5+ years on the verge of some kind of secular moral revival that keeps getting channeled into weirdo lifestyle puritanism
Cafes across the U.S. are embracing the low- and no-caffeine lifestyle, with options that are a far cry from dusty tea bags and rewarmed decaf. nyti.ms/3XKlqoj

I was influenced by recipe videos to buy one a vegetable dicer and I am in shock over how effective it is in dicing my vegetables so I can live my ideal bean salad lifestyle.

AI automation =/= AI generation. the scripts to automatically transcribe voice to text or whether your party character prioritizes Attack or Defense isn't the same as algorithms generating randomized results out of an amalgamation of existing data. conflating them is intentionally misleading.

Matthew Lillard do not listen to that pervert!!!
Matthew Lillard reacts to Quentin Tarantino's comments about him

"Quentin Tarantino says he doesn't like me as an actor ... it hurts your feelings, it fucking sucks, and he wouldn't say that to Tom Cruise ... or a top-line actor ... It's humbling, and it hurts"

I’m glad to see comic creators talking more openly about what they’re being paid from publishers, especially with the creator resource and coop surveys in the last few years.

What I’d love to see next is a reckoning for publishers who do nothing to promote a book’s release.
