To put this rough take on Rogue One into perspective: Lucas picked up the phone and called Tony Gilroy to commend him on the film, which he's never done for any other SW movie.
Also, saying any of the films are "well-acted/written" is a stretch. This is all popcorn cinema at the end of the day.
