If you view peaceful protest as a direct preclude to the appropriately cinematic revolution that you've imagined, you might be disappointed! But as a manner of strengthening the symbol of community, something that's necessary if you desire any sort of positive future, it's more than useful.

I frequently say you don't need to protest. You don't! There are a thousand other ways to push back on fascism if protesting doesn't feel comfortable or safe for you!
