Trey Yesavage struck out 12 batters and walked none in seven innings of one-run ball in Game 5 of the freakin' World Series.

He also generated 23 whiffs tonight, the most by any pitcher in the World Series in the pitch-tracking era (since 2008).

Here are his dozen strikeouts against the Dodgers.
Ketel Marte would be such a perfect addition for the Pirates and Pittsburgh has the necessary pitching that Arizona needs.

If the Pirates are serious about making a big move, this would be a fun route.

This was long overdue but I finally got around to reading David Halberstam's "Summer of '49" and am now reading "October 1964" and my goodness, these are incredible stories of baseball.

Halberstram was a damn good storyteller.

Woah.

Ferrer was good in 2025 despite the 4.48 ERA (3.61 xERA and 3.03 FIP), is only 25 and under club control through 2029. The stuff and command is quite good, too.

But getting Ford is a heck of a return for the Nats. He's MLB Pipeline's No. 42 prospect.

Based on this report from Buster Olney and The Athletic reporting that more than half of the league has checked in on MacKenzie Gore, it’s increasingly likely that the Nats will move the talented left-hander this offseason.

Good development for the Twins and their fans.

The AL Central is entirely winnable and the Twins can still be firmly in the mix with a few notable offseason moves.

That team really doesn't need to tear it all down, even after last year's Trade Deadline sell-off.

This Marlins group looks dangerously close to being a legit Wild Card contender.

Add someone like Bader/Yastrzemski to play RF, O'Hearn/Arraez to play 1B and a pair of good relievers (Fairbanks, Weaver, Finnegan, Pagán, etc.) and Miami could have real playoff aspirations.
