Idk if any of my followers also use z-lib, but I just got this email and wanted to warn folks, this is 100% a scam and not from the actual z-lib people. It links to z lib dot ID, which is a fake scam domain; they just want your money lol and are using high-pressure urgency tactics to get it.
An email that reads: Important update about your Z-Library access Z-Library noreply@z-lib.ai to me Hello Saz, Back in 2009 a handful of volunteers stitched together spare servers to share academic knowledge that had vanished behind paywalls. In the years since, Z-Library has grown into the world’s largest open e-library—run entirely by readers like you, without ads, paywalls or venture capital. That growth came at a cost. Every month we receive takedown notices, face new legal filings, and field dozens of denial-of-service attacks. Billions of dollars would be lost from the American economy, and the damage would be irreparable. It is also a huge violation of the European Union's GDPR law. I am 100% opposed to these laws because in all cases they are used to pressure disabled people to die. Because that's cheaper than providing the supports they need to live. It happens in Canada with MAID, it happens in Oregon, it will happen in Illinois.
