I'm not as much in the democrats caved camp as I am the democrats saved camp. Saved jobs, stopped hunger, and regardless of what they did, the Biden covid aca relief expires 12/31, which will make aca prices rise anyway. High costs mean nothing with no income to pay for it.

Fun or not so fun fact: lots of folks are on the aca plans and don't even know it. Their small business companies r probably using it for their insurance policies. Lots of hurt coming soon, and unpleasant surprises.
