Such a lovely photo of you & your sister. Given that she has gone, it must feel doubly precious. I cherish the photos I have of my family - and even the ones of me as a young child. It helps keep me grounded.
And seeing your grandchildren (as we do) I am always struck by their likeness to you.

You are so right about this. I’ve taken to printing off some of my favourite photos - I can’t bear to think I’ll lose them. Just finding them on a phone or other device can take hours!

Yes, I appreciate RoI is an option, but property prices are pretty robust there, and it is property we are talking about here. And mobility.
I'm happy for you that you've 'done it'. I've also lived abroad in the past, but that isn't now, and we have to deal with the situation we're currently in.
