In Miami, Great egrets are often found hunting in backyards for lizards, snakes, and small birds. This one caught a brown anole and a stick and is trying to figure out how to swallow one without the other. For the #HeadShots theme of #BirdOfTheDay #EastCoastKin #birds Happy Thanksgiving!

3 years ago, with no warning, a brilliant orange farm cat wandered over from the draughty barn where he had been living, in rural Cornwall, and decided he wanted to live with us instead.
We decided to call him Jim.

Mylo is fascinated by this heron. Every time we walk over here, he checks to see if homie is there. Every now and then, our pal is seen chillin in the pond. He chases squirrels and rabbit, but respects all things bird. Just stares at them. Loves this one in particular.
