It's an interesting place that is all meadows, marshland and mud at low tide and open water at high tide. The best times to see the ducks and birds is mid-tide, otherwise they are too far out to see very well. It took me awhile to figure it out.

It changes so much from day to day. It depends on the sky, clouds, angle of the sun, tide, wind. Sometimes it looks one way to me through my eyes and then the camera sees it a little differently. I love the egrets, also.

It is water! I was standing on a boardwalk up above the egret, looking down at it. (It does look like it could have been the sky.) The water was really shallow at low tide and you could see the seabed if you were close up.
