If you haven't treated yourself to Sinners yet, I loved it. The cast and the soundtrack are on fire. I laughed, I cried, I loved how much it loved music.

Absolutely shamefully bad science communication.
Genuinely shocking levels of institutional rot going on in the US. The push to 'both sides' every question has left fucking National Public Radio to say "hey maybe tylenol really does cause autism, many people are asking questions"

It can't be stressed enough: this kind of city is MORE accessible, with MORE choices for everyone. Reducing the number of cars driven by people who don't need to drive leaves more space for mobility vehicles and reduces journey times. Cars are expensive!
“Air pollution fell substantially as Paris restricted car traffic and made way for parks, people-streets and bike-lanes.”
Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability & quality of life.
Common sense.
Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.

Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.

Herd immunity is important.
THIS is why you get the MMR vaccine.
It's "rare" in no small part because everyone has been vaccinated. It'll become a lot less rare if people start getting infected with measles again.

A school-age child in Los Angeles has died of a rare complication from measles, years after being infected with the virus.

Why are we throwing money away on fossil fuels when endless (and obvious) renewable energy is here for the taking? Let's stop letting the oil barons rob us.

Scottish Councils demanding that trans children out themselves to their classmates is obviously institutional transphobic abuse, and schools should absolutely refuse to comply. The obsession with policing children's bodies is disturbing.
Wow, this is vile. Shame on Edinburgh Council. goodlawproject.org/what-have-i-...
‘What have I done wrong?’ Trans kids go back to school bathroom bans in Scotland
Councils rushing to put policies on school bathrooms in place leave trans children facing confusion, distress and the risk of being outed.

Hell yeah. Honestly, if you don't want this, you are just in favour of children being killed in traffic, and you need to own that.
My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.
(15 in Manhattan btw)

There is no possible justification for limiting e-bikes to 15mph but not cars.

This is so true. We also MUST reduce the size of cars. Huge, heavy cars cause more death and harm when they crash. The benefit to society far, far outweighs the temporary comfort for the richest.
We can’t rely on drivers to follow the rules
Instead we need *solid infrastructure* that forces compliance
☑️ continuous footway with buildouts & steep ramps
☑️ bollards to reduce sat-nav enabled thru-traffic & prevent pavement parking
☑️ road diets & carriageway narrowing

New case study on compliance with the 2022 update to the Highway Code granting pedestrians right of way at side road junctions.
“… only 31 % of drivers complied with the rule when turning from a main road into a side road where pedestrians were approaching or waiting at a junction to cross”

Lol I laughed because I am in Glasgow. Any other Scottish listeners do a sorta double take there?
everyone agrees that it's ok and not problematic that i said "cunty" in this episode

I'll tell you what is annoying: the 7,500 hit-and-runs by cars recorded annually in London. This trumps my concerns about the sounds made by bikes used by kids who lack access to bikes.
