Hi Bluesky!

I am continuing my many SciFi/Horror/Fantasy walkthroughs here.

In a walkthrough I review all canon & expanded universe media for a show in publication/release order.

In progress walkthrus shall continue here but I will add a link to the partial thread on X for continuity's sake.
#Debris TV 1.12 cont'd.
The two leads decide to play it as a religious experience so Bryan suddenly turns into a door-to-door Mormon. Though I did admire the writers making this (very poor) character revelation be acted through a hazmat suit. As I said this does feel like it was written quickly.
#Debris Ep 1.12 cont'd.
The actor playing Finola's dad is doing a terrible job. He's so uninteresting, my brain switches off when he is on screen. He's written terribly which doesn't help. How can Bryan and Finola drive off to meet him whenever they want/
Where de feck is MI6 gone?

Such a mess.
#Debris Ep 1.12 cont'd.
What went wrong? Was the show suddenly cancelled so they had to chuck everything on the bonfire to halt the story ala RTD2?
Anson's escape was fine but as I said already it's too #Fringe. Where is Brill gone too? He's just disappeared. Surely he must return in the finale?
#Debris TV ep #1.12 "A Message from Ground Control" (17-May-21).
Basic ass direction, trite writing, absent visuals wrecked this. Could've been scary but wasn't.
The main debris arc became some vague tinselly SFX crap. The worst ep I've seen in a long time and I watched #GoodWitch this year.
Angry.
#Debris Ep 1.11 cont'd.
The warehouse giving Maddox the wreckage part without clearance was silly. It's bad writing choices like that which makes me not believe this fictional world.

Can Maddox operate Bryan remotely? Bryans's increased dosage must have some plot relevant effect in the finale.
#Debris Ep 1.11 cont'd.
As regards Finola she's not really involved in the main arc much. The Dee Dee thing disappeared. Heck knows what MI6 are doing as ain't seen them in a while. Her Dad's story lost me a while back. And I'm not interested in a possible ship with Bryan. But I do like her.
#Debris Ep 1.11 cont'd.
With 2 to go I suspect this series won't end neatly?
The end credits "story" is now starting to crystallise out. I like that novel story telling mechanism a lot.
I still think Bryan died but I'm just not sure what Maddox is planning? New body for his son would be so yawn!
#Debris TV ep #1.11 "Asaiah" (10-May-21).
I'm in two minds. OK the debris and Bryan have a history. Even so Finola acts on some crazy theories of hers in this ep based on almost zero evidence. I hate Afghan flashbacks in my sci-fi but the story wasn't ended we will inevitably see it again?
Seen outside of Space:1999 he is quite formidable an actor.
#ILoveAMystery Radio ep #912 "Bury Your Dead, Arizona [1]" (21-Nov-49).
This serial will be remaking the similarly titled serial in Radio eps #234-#248 (11-Dec-39 to 29-Dec-39).
These files don't have the end credits so I'm missing my cliffhanger fix but least it exists!

#ILoveAMystery Radio ep #911 "The Thing That Cries in the Night [15]" (18-Nov-49).
Yes these stories barely make real sense, almost everything happens off screen, there's no real depth nor plot yet this show is so perfect. It is all in the characterisation and the format.

#ILoveAMystery Radio ep #910 "The Thing That Cries in the Night [14]" (17-Nov-49).
The eps are now just like 10 minutes long. Like so little happens. Essentially one thing of note happens every ep. The story doesn't get time to get bogged down in any given ep.

#ILoveAMystery Radio ep #909 "The Thing That Cries in the Night [13]" (16-Nov-49).
We are in the home straight now. Jack is kind of a knob. "I can't tell you the answer as it's not part 15 yet Doc".

#ILoveAMystery Radio ep #908 "The Thing That Cries in the Night [12]" (15-Nov-49).
Liked the inclusion of Pauline West albeit Doc's discussion of radio censorship was a bit too on the nose meta. Jack says he has it all worked out but really the clues haven't been offered.

#ILoveAMystery Radio ep #907 "The Thing That Cries in the Night [11]" (14-Nov-49).
Mercedes McCambridge is stealing the show.
Liked the image of the scary Humpty Dumpty!
Morse does keep up the pretence of the supernatural quite well albeit at the expense of logic.

#Dragnet Daily Strip #175-#180 (12-Jan-53 to 17-Jan-53).
The cops arrive mid-job at the Department store. Just a matter of cleaning up now. One guy has nitro in a jar like he's some 1950s version of Ace. It won't end well.
#Dragnet Radio ep #186 "The Big Small" (11-Jan-53).
For a moment I though this was a rebroadcast of the above radio ep about the old woman and I suspect they are now re-using some scripts yet altering them sufficiently so the procedural is as different as possible?

#Dragnet TV ep #2.09 "The Big Grandma" (08-Jan-53).
Adapts Radio ep #71 (19-Oct-50).
I loved the sausage guy!
Pretty strong adaptation. Yes the radio eps are pure gold so can hardly be messed up by the TV guys but the latter do work hard on the visuals nonetheless.

#Dragnet Daily Strip #169-#174 (05-Jan-53 to 10-Jan-53).
Joe finally meets the big boss and finds out who the cop killer is. It's so long ago I can't even remember which cop died at the start of this strip? Did one? Umm, maybe.
