#ILoveAMystery Radio eps #1115 "Murder in Turquoise Pass [9]" (31-Aug-50).
This is the only other ep existing from this 15-part serial. This mystery seems like it's in control without too many variables for Morse to lose track of.

#ILoveAMystery Radio eps #1114 "Murder in Turquoise Pass [8]" (30-Aug-50).
We are in an oil field in Central America. Not too much this ep bit a lot has happened prior to this ep. I presume Barbara
is played by Mercedes McCambridge once again.

Bullshit extraordinaire sir.

This has been the case on UK TV since the 1950s possibly the 1930s to the present day.

never understood this movie as a kid. I get it now.

#ILoveAMystery Radio eps #1090 "The Snake With the Diamond Eyes [25]" (27-Jul-50).

I think the only ep existing is part 25. The 1940 version had one earlier double ep existing (parts 21/22). Better than nothing! Least this has the finale (it might even be part 26?).

#ILoveAMystery Radio eps #1066-#1091 "The Snake With the Diamond Eyes [1] to [26]" (23-Jun-50 to 28-Jul-50).

This is a remake of Radio eps #314-#326 (04-Apr-40 to 27-Jun-40) which was in the weekly 30 minute format. The remake is the daily 15 minute slot.

Only one or two eps exist....

#RichardDiamond Radio ep #112 "The Brown Envelope Case" (07-Dec-51).
Finally another ep that exists!
My first time hearing Alan Reed's Walt and he is his own version. Really good.
Having not heard an actual ep since Radio ep #89 I forgot how good this show's music is!

#RichardDiamond Radio ep #111 "Goodnight to Nocturne" (30-Nov-51).
Ep doesn't exist but script is below.

A horse and jockey are missing and it's already race day.
This show isn't big on Rick acquiring hard evidence to jail the perps is it? But you really don't mind it.

You can feel the cast looking at the bandage design and thinking ok I'm out of this series first opportunity.

#TheOuterLimits TV 3.14 cont'd.
I lost the will to live when the guy stealing the nanobots took the nanobot test tube out of a frozen container bare handed.

Oh f*ck this is director Mario Azzopardi's first of TWENTY-ONE eps. Seriously he gets SIX eps in Season 2 and SIX in Season 3!! OMG why?

#TheOuterLimits TV ep #3.14 "The New Breed" (23-Jun-95).
After a run of good eps then this tripe.
From the wrong pronunciation of "nanometer" at the start, bad acting, music, direction and grindingly predictable narrative this was a pure chore.
Nice to see nanotech looked even if this sh*t the bed.

#TheOuterLimits TV ep #3.13 "Quality of Mercy" (16-Jun-95)
Though I guessed the twist very early this is a classic.
Very much a spiritual sequel to TV ep #1.10 "Nightmare" (02-Dec-63).
Robert Patrick and Nicole de Boer in a two hander.
The aliens design, prison design and direction were top level.

#TheOuterLimits TV 3.12 cont'd.
I have to hand it to this show that they often just drop in a big name every ep.
Here it's Rebecca De Mornay. She also directed this ep which was far better directed than prior eps.
I've no idea why she is slumming it here but I guess TOL does have money behind it!

#TheOuterLimits TV ep #3.12 "The Conversion" (09-Jun-95).
In what seems like pure vanity the Executive Producer has a short story of his adapted even though that short story doesn't appear to have been published?

The ep is a bit too Highway to Heaven-y but is very well directed, scored and acted.

#WelcomeToNightVale Live Show #4 (05-Oct-13).
This was another go at Podcast #14 "The Man in the Tan Jacket" (01-Jan-13) performed live at LA Podfest 2013 in the same performance as the above pod.
To be fair the crowd seem to like WTNV even if I certainly don't.

Those old #DoctorWho eps will definitely get you through those long hours of shipping in space. I think he is midway through "The Monster of Peladon" which would give anyone an out of body experience to be fair.

#TheOuterLimits TV ep #3.11 "Dark Matters" (02-Jun-95).
Loved this.
So very #Enterprise!!
A merchant spaceship gets marooned but others preceded them into this Sargasso Sea in Space*.
Fine cast: David Cubitt #Medium / #Siren, Annette O'Toole #Superman, John Heard, Allison Hossack.

#TheOuterLimits TV 3.10 cont'd.
TOL directors so far are content to do it by the numbers. There was ample opportunity to make this a memorable scary ep but too much ADR in the finale action scene, cutaway shots like the monster kicking the gun away meant it needlessly became stagey and generic.

#TheOuterLimits TV 3.10 cont'd.
Its heart is in the right place but then the guy starts spouting fanciful gibberish before he has data. It should've leaned into his memory more or just isolated the monster audio.
Man that f-ing database was ridiculously well populated to extract such information!
December 12, 2025 at 10:57 PM
#TheOuterLimits TV ep #3.10 "Under the Bed" (26-May-95).
Scary Stephen King premise but it kept dropping the ball:
In the audio analysis you can clearly hear the monster talking but nobody notices it nor isolates it.
The police missed the blood stain despite there being silly amounts of blood.

#TheOuterLimits TV 3.09 cont'd.
The show is watchable and I'm enjoying more than the original TOL but that old bugbear namely Canadian TV sci-fi production values is starting to hit me. There's a lot of tired TV tropes lazily used, eg acting performances getting bypassed for banal special fx usage.
December 12, 2025 at 9:23 PM
#TheOuterLimits TV ep #3.09 "Corner of the Eye" (19-May-95).
I'm getting hacked off now how irrelevant the Control's Voice outro is to the preceding ep.
Poor ep as the aliens were so frivolous. Check out #Millennium TV ep #2.21 "Somehow Satan Got Behind Me" (01-May-98) for a far superior demons ep.
December 12, 2025 at 9:18 PM
At least one Rovers person broke sweat so.
December 12, 2025 at 8:18 PM
#TheOuterLimits TV ep #3.08 "Living Hell" (12-May-95).
When the control voice's moral becomes irrelevant banality you know it's been a dull ep, ie they can't even decide the best takeaway.
Well acted. Liked the finale but Jennifer should've zapped the killer to resuscitate Wayne so suiting the ep.
